Previous callsigns.....   
G1UDF - (1986 - 1989), my original UK Class B callsign.
JW/G4ATA - October 2009, during a trip to the JW5E shack in Svalbard.
G8DYT - My father's original UK Class B callsign.  This was re-issued to me in 2009.  It is still current and still used sometimes in contests usually.
GM4ATA, GM8DYT & MM4D - these were in regular use from 2015 until my return to England in December 2025.

M4D - I am a keen participant in contests and hold a SCC.  Over the years I have been successful in achieving a few category/country firsts in various contests both SSB and, more recently, CW contests.

I do NOT operate any digital modes.

For the last few years I have become a predominantly CW operator.  Outside of contests all of my CW is hand sent and everything is "head copied" even in contests.  My CW is not the best or fastest but I continue to strive to improve.  Above all I thoroughly enjoy using "dits" and "dahs" to make contacts.


IMPORTANT

QSL Information - I do not have any QSL cards for G4ATA.  I do not use the buro - if you send a card to me via the buro I will not receive it.  I do not collect QSL cards so there is not any point in sending me one direct.  I do not want any QSL cards via email, please do not waste your time sending one.
Note - I do not have any logs prior to 2007.  Unfortunately they were lost at some time during several house moves between 2001 and 2007.

All of my contacts are uploaded in real time to Club Log and eQSL.  Also all of my contacts are uploaded to LoTW on a regular basis, at least daily.

From time to time I do update my log on QRZ.com - just be patient!

Contest QSOs for my SCC callsign, M4D, are also uploaded to Club Log and LoTW at the end of each contest I participate in.  Again, I do not have QSL cards for this callsign.

I would however appreciate Club Log and LoTW confirmations.
