CONTEST ACTIVITIES
I have always enjoyed contesting right from my early days
as a radio ham in the late 80's. In those early days my contesting was
confined to VHF contests but I was gradually introduced to HF contesting through
membership of the North Wakefield Amateur Radio Club.....now sadly defunct.
In the early 2000's G4ATA was rarely active, if at all, until my circumstances
changed in 2007 and I finally found my self living somewhere where I had space
for antennas.
Shortly after my amateur radio activities resumed in the second half of 2007 the
contesting bug bit me once again!
Although I much prefer "anybody works anybody" contests I do participate in many
of the "regional" contests.
My contesting activities are too numerous to detail them all but here are a few of my more serious contest activites and achievements......
